By filing to be nominated for this scheme, you have agreed that your music, images, videos and all other copyright material can be used for the purposes of the scheme and also agree that all content generated in relation to the scheme belongs to the organizers. These could include TV/radio commercials, press and online ads, billboards, documentaries, inserts on programs, fliers, hand-outs, banners, posters, brochures, etc. So far as they are used purposely in relation to the Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards. Every information entered on the form by Artiste/Manager is the true representation of my works done and do conform to tenets of the schemes release regulations and guidelines.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards scheme is not mandated to give cash or any other incentive to artistes beyond the plaque. Where any such incentive is given, it will be given only to artistes that attend the event and pick up their awards personally. The UEMA board has the right to dismiss, disqualify or bar any artiste(s) who abuses the scheme, the board or any of its members or the organizing body with or without any just cause or puts the brand into any kind of disrepute. One Love Entertainment Ghana runs an open-door policy where all grievances and issues can be channeled and resolved amicably. By clicking on “submit”, you agree to the UEMA’s Terms and Condition. You also agree to our Authorisation Statement, which describes how we process your information. That every information entered on the form by you is the true representation of Your works done and do conform to tenets of the schemes release regulations and guidelines. Any false representation in terms of ownership, release dates, etc could result in a total disqualification of the artistes and the works submitted

Categories Definition

1. OVERALL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Artiste of the Year is the Artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity. The Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album/EP and must be one of the artistes with the highest nominations in the year under review.

2. REGGAE /DANCEHALL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Reggae/Dancehall Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste(s) adjudged by the Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Reggae/Dancehall genre. The Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album/EP in the year under review.

3. NEW ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The New Artiste of the Year is the Artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most promising and talented emerging artiste (s). The award goes to a relatively new artiste(s) who released a single/album/EP that FIRST shot the artiste(s) into the limelight during the year under review.

4. BEST COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR
The Best Collaboration of the year is the song adjudged by the Board and the General Public as the song released through the collaboration/featuring of two or more Artistes. The song must have been released and generated the most excitement during the year under review

5. HMB-MOST POPULAR SONG OF THE YEAR
The Most Popular Song of the Year is the song adjudged 100% by the General Public as the most popular song released in the year under review, irrespective of genre. The song must have enjoyed a lot of patronage and generated

6. HIP HOP SONG OF THE YEAR
The Hip Hop song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Board and the General Public as the most popular Hip Hop song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year.

7. GOSPEL SONG OF THE YEAR
The Gospel Song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Board and the General Public as the most popular Gospel Song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year.

8. REGGAE /DANCEHALL SONG OF THE YEAR
The Reggae song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Board and the General Public as the most popular Reggae song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year.

9. BEST GROUP OF THE YEAR
The Best Group of the Year is the Artistes adjudged by the Board and the General Public as the group with the highest audience appeal and popularity. They must comprise of at least 2 or more members and must have released a hit single/album/EP during the year under review.

10. MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
The Best Male Vocalist is adjudged by Board and general public as the Male artiste (solo) with the best vocal delivery/Performance on any musical presentation which was released during the year under review.

11. FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
The Best Female Vocalist is adjudged by the Board and general public as the Female artiste (solo) with the best vocal delivery/Performance on any musical presentation which was released during the year under review

12. MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR
The Music Video of the year is adjudged by the Board and general public as the most creative and entertaining music video produced within the calendar year. The song for which the video has been produced, need not have been released in the year under review.

13. BEST RAP PERFORMANCE
The Best Rap Performance is adjudged by the Academy , Board and general public as the rap Artiste with the best word compositions, rhymes and rap dexterity on a song released in the year under review.

14. SOUND ENGINEER OF THE YEAR
The Sound Engineer of the Year award is adjudged by the Board and general public to be the Sound Engineer directly responsible for the recording, mastering and technical treatment of a nominated song during the year under review.

15. TRADITIONAL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Best Traditional Artiste(s) is adjudged by the General public as the most outstanding performing Traditional or Folkloric Artiste(s) in the year under review.

16. RECORD OF THE YEAR
The Record of the Year is adjudged by the Academy , Board and general public as the most outstanding original song that was released during the year under review. It may not have enjoyed huge success, but has quality artistic value.

17. AFROBEATS /AFROPOP SONG OF THE YEAR
The most outstanding and dominant song of the year on the basis of its Afrobeats /Afropop Content . It must have generated the most excitement during the year under review. This is voted for by the board and the general public

18. DJ OF THE YEAR
The most outstanding/dominant, DJ of the year on the basis of their work as a radio/Club/Artiste DJ. This is voted for by the board and general public

19. UPPER EAST MUSIC INFLUENCER
Upper east music influencer is any creator who incorporates UE music into their content, or promotes, reviews, or discusses anything related to the UE music industry on social media through videos. This category is 100 % public votes

20. DIGITAL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
Outstanding use of digital media in harnessing the biggest fandom on social media, maintaining visibility, higher engagement of posts, driving audience interactivity and trendsetting the narrative and pursuing causes.

21. BLOGGER OF THE YEAR
This category is for an outstanding blogger for his /her excellent combination of content, their dedication to their blog topic, and their masterful use of WordPress, Tumblr, and other blogging platforms to bring their posts to life on their blogs under the year of review . This is voted by the Board and general public.

22. INDUSTRY PERSON OF THE YEAR
The industry Person of the Year Award is given annually to an industry person who has made significant contributions towards the growth of the industry during the year under review. This industry person possesses unparalleled leadership, high quality workmanship, and has an outstanding record of accomplishment. This voted 100 % by the board .

23. HIP HOP ARTISTE OF THE YEAR:
The Hip Hop ARTISTE of the Year is the artistes adjudged by the Board and the General Public as having the highest audience Appeal and popularity in the Hip hop genre. The artiste must have released a single/EP/album during the year under review.

24. SONG WRITTER OF THE YEAR
The Song Writer of the Year is adjudged by the Academy ,Board and general public as the Song Writer(s) responsible for the best written song with original lyrics and music compositions for any released song during the year under review.

25. NORTHERN ACT OF THE YEAR
The Best NORTHERN Artiste(s) is the Artiste(s) (not from U/E/R) adjudged solely by the Board as the act whose music crossed borders and made the most impact in the country at large during the year under review.

26. GOSPEL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Best Gospel Artiste(s) is the Artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Gospel genre. The Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/EP/album during the year under review.

27. TRADITIONAL STRING ARTISTE OF THE YEAR

The Best Traditional String artiste is adjudged by the General public as the most outstanding artiste who sings and performs with a string musical instrument.

28. TRADITIONAL SONG OF THE YEAR
The Traditional Song of the year is adjudged by the general public as the most popular Traditional Song in the year under review.

29. VIDEO DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR
The Video director of the Year is adjudged by the Board and general public as the directors of most creative and entertaining music videos produced within the calendar year.
